I randomly watched this on a plane, and it was more than what I thought it would be. For me that's the strength of the story, that it somehow keeps growing, and changing, and I didn't fully understand it until close to the end. Sure, there's the topic of friendship, centered around the incredibly cute Fureru, then there's some drama. Particularly this part halfway through the movie was a bit annoying or unsatisfactory for me at times. But then the real topic is the perspective on communication and how it can affect relationships, which I found universally relatable. I'm happy I watched it.
