Black Rock chan is simply an adorable manga. That is really all there is to the storyline, the child acting adorable. This is not to say that the plots were horrible (in fact, some made me smile a few times), but nothing really amazing. It's a bit hard to explain, as the story elements didn't feel very much repeated (you've got your average "protecter of the world" in Black Rock, but the series doesn't revolve around that), yet there was simply... nothing but a child and her mistress. I will not lie; the reactions of certain characters in certain situations are enough to make onesmile, and if for anything, read this manga for that. It's a nice little story to read if you're feeling blue.

If you read manga for the cute characters, this is surely a read for you, as Black Rock is quite an interesting character, cute in a way different than manga's other adorables.

The art did not wow me in a sense where I was simply amazed the artist could pull it off. In fact, all there was to it was (guess what I'm about to say, hmm?) adorable. The expressions, I must admit, were quite vibrant.
