It's a generic isekai fantasy with a generic main character. Despite reusing familiar tropes from dozens of other series, it was a surprisingly relaxing read. The execution was competent and the story pacing was brisk and engaging. As a reader, I have no complaints, even with the blandness of the characters. Although, the horse makes up for it, it's probably the only one that has the most personality out of the bunch. The supporting cast was mostly made up of annoying characters, but not all of them. As mentioned earlier, the horse was the best character in this series. The main character relied on the horseearly on in the story, being abandoned for dead by the kingdom that summoned him. Alone, his conversations with horse carried the narrative and gave the author the impetus to add dialogue and word balloons to what would have been a silent story.

It's turned out to be a guilty pleasure. I know there are better stories out there, but this has turned out to be entertainingly engaging.
