Ok I really like this series the plot is really unique and I really like that it's in a juvenile setting(I'm a real sucker for prison/jail like settings)that's what really drew me into this series in the first place Because theirs not a lot of manhwa that take place in a prison like setting but I was hooked onto this series for the first few chapters where good and his father reminds me so much of yujiro from. Baki because their motives are the same the MCs Dad puts him Through all the suffering and abuse because he wants his son to become stronger. Anyway the artis amazing in this and some of the characters are interesting
But I do have a lot of complaints about this series because I feel like this series has so much potential
I'm going to start with something that really bothers me in this series and it's the lack of fleshing out characters I feel like most of the characters in this series are shallow
Like their are a lot of characters in this that I wanted to know more about like the author of this story like gives these characters full names and a cool as character design and their first introduced as someone important and hard to beat
But then the MC ends up one shooting them and then that character is never seen again and it makes me so disappointed how fast a characters comes and goes like his step brother was so interesting to me I liked the guy and he even got a little backstory but he literally ended up getting killed by the MCs father's henchmen in less then 10 chapters... like he could have been important to the plot of the story.
And this leads me to my second point the MC feels like a Mary sue like theirs litterly this one chapter and this is the chapter that really and I mean REALLY pissed me off to the point I even thought this whole chapter was a joke even though I knew it wasn't
The chapter is basically the MC taking all the top dogs money and putting it in the washing machine and let me remind you guys the top dogs are supposed to be the strongest and not like the rest of the small fry that's in the dedinton center so basically the top dogs found out the MC did this so nine of them go to confront him all at once
And the top dogs designs were so cool like they all had something unique about them and their were even twins and a bisexual guy that were apart of the nine top dogs but anyway they all come to jump the MC and what do you know
They all get one shoted literally he beat all Of the nine top dogs in just one shot and they all got defeated in just ONE chapter... and like they all got a backstory in the middle of the fight with the MC but it wasn't even a full back story because all of the nine top dogs had their back stories cut off because the MC just one shoted them it's like he was just speed running through that entire fight it was honestly so disappointing
Because that fight should not have lasted just one chapter it should have lasted at least 3 chapters since the top dogs are literally supposed to be a big deal or whatever
And my last problem with the series is that it's predictable. like we know the MCs going to win the fight because he wins most of his fights
But anyway that's the end of the review I just feel like this story has so much potential and it's unique but the author needs to flesh out their characters more because this whole series feels like a big speed run because the MC is litterly just speed running through everything so he can get to his father
And I think that's fine I like it when stories have a fast pace to it and I love impulsive and impatient MCs but sometimes it's ok to slow it down a little.
