Let me be exceptionally upfront - I am the kind of person who has read around 400+ Romance/Fantasy manhwa with similar cliches and still find them to be fun enough to keep me reading. This is a series that is completely filled with cliches and settles itself into a generic space. That being said, there is nothing WRONG with cliches which is part of why they have existed for such a long time. While this can be taken as shallow, there is also no reason to discount that this settles as a comforting series. Instead of focusing on high-stakes political drama or relentless conflicts, it embraces warmthand romance. Aquasteed isn’t a cold or distant love interest; he’s openly devoted, respectful, and sincere. I’ve read quite a bit of “abused FL to found family” and “cold duke of the north” to recognize that this is a simple yet comforting romance that minimizes dark tones. It might not stand out but this does not mean fans of this type of genre won’t enjoy an easy watch.

The art is certainly above average - not so generic as to be lost among the masses but not exactly stand out stellar like Saihito or Frieren. Visually, the series offers soft pastel palettes, elegant designs, and fairy-tale-inspired settings that lean into the storybook atmosphere. The characters are also decently expressive which contributes to the above average rating.
