Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

While many will pass of this review before ever reading it due to the overall score, I implore you to judge the review on more than "I disagree therefore its bad". I was told that this show was a masterpiece, that it was one of, if not the best anime ever. due to that fact, when I finally watched the show, I was greatly disappointed. While I enjoyed parts of the show, there just seems like there is so many times during the show where I thought, "Does the people who made this even know what they're making themselves?" The story is all over theplace, and feels like it doesn't know what it wants to be half the time. There are plot-holes all over the place, it's was basically impossible for me not to notice them. And while I believe that it isn't necessary to explain everything in your story, on the contrary, i believe leaving some things open to interpretation can be a good thing, there is a way to do it right and a way to do it wrong. This show was presented as a masterpiece and ended up letting me down on every front, I did not like this show because of how other people presented it.
