Review of Akira

The short and sweet: The movie is a staple of what some call the "must see" anime. It is by no stretch an amazing anime but it does hone back to the 80s a time when anime movies felt like 80s movies. The story is pretty weird and takes place in a future 80s version of Tokyo. Basically a boy and another boy duke it out at the end but involves terrorism and a hidden monster that almost destroyed Tokyo years ago bla bla bla 80s movie tropes later. A solid movie to watch if you want to see a classic that your anime dad usedto love.
