Review of Fairy Tail
Fairy Tail is a very cheerful anime and is the first anime I have seen, so I only found it to be fair to give my first review on Fairy Tail. Story: 8 The story arcs are great, full of suspense and hilariously funny moments. Most arcs start off with mystery, cheerfulness and a seemingly unbeatable enemy, but later on, the wizards of Fairy Tail always have their way. In my opinion, the fanservice could be tomed down a little (except for Gray, who takes off his clothes all the time), but it is not as much that it is unbearable or something of that ill. Art: 8 Justas it should be. They use a lot of vivid colors (which supports the cheery atmosphere).
Sound: 10
Don't even get me started on the music. It is a combination of Celtic/medieval and metal for the fights and for the sad moments, they use music with so much emotion that you won't be able to listen to it without your eyes stinging.
The voice acting is also on point. And for those (not me) who wish to watch the dubbed version of Fairy Tail, the dub is not as bad as many other dubs you'll find out there.
Character: 9
Fairy Tail has a very varied assortment of characters. As the story proceeds, more and more is revealed about the main character's pasts. There is some character development. But I wished they'd also give backround information on the supporting characters (such as Freed).
Enjoyment: 10
Needless to say, this anime is one of my favorites. Its cheerfulness made me happy, the sad moments made me cry.
Overall: 9
If you are looking for a longrunning anime with a bunch of colorful characters, go watch Fairy Tail.
