Do not let the innocent kid-stuff characters fool you!! Characters have their different twisted story behind them. The story plot line is great, keeps you figuring out WTF! just happened!? Gore and violence are not as much as Elfen Lied but good overall. definitely a must watch if you like psycho-gore anime.
