You don't get many series like this. What I mean by that is a realistic series that takes the normal everyday problems of teenagers. I don't mean that the main plot is so realistic but, as I do feel that the soul of a human being will stay behind to finish anything that they left unfinished. This series does seem very realistic to me in that respect. I may spoil some major plot points in this anime, if you do not want spoilers do not read past this paragraph. Though if you want my opinion on whether or not you should watch the anime ornot, if you can buy it. I am planning to.

Starting off with the bad stuff. Not much here this time. All I have to say is that the OST could use some work. It didn't really stand out at all but that is the only thing. Though the ending theme is written by an artist I like.

Now onto the good stuff. Where do I start? The character development is amazing, the only reason that the series is even 11 episodes long is because they take the time to develop every character. Even when you have a character that you think might be a tsundere, she isn't, she is actually the one that drives the main relationships in the anime. I have forgotten some of the names of the characters, but I really liked all their characters. Whether you were talking about the love struck teenager who is always in the shadows and never even second choice, or a man who has gone insane with guilt to the point of cross dressing, making himself up to be like the girl he use to (and is also arguably the creepiest character in the show), a ghost that has a wish she wants granted. This series takes on the task of developing all of them as characters. They even develop the mother that never shows up in the main series as a mother who wants the best for her son and uses her dying wish for his happiness. Among other characters that had much smaller roles, Menma's younger brother and mother, that get their characters fully developed.

Another aspect that I liked about this anime was that it tries to be as realistic as it is possible to do in the anime smile. This means that there are no cat faces, or complete circle eyes, or anything that anime has become famous for. This animators wanted the story to be told with as realistic animation as possible and you could tell that they did.

The story is also very warming, and the most welcome break from the dark series that I usually watch. Not to mention the ending was one of the best I had ever seen. So yeah, it was an amazing series to watch.

Final Verdict:
This series was wonderful. It is one of the best series I have ever scene and I hope that we get more like it in the future. This is one of the 3 series that has made me cry.
