Review of Kokoro Connect
Intriguing anime about friendship, love... individuality, AND LOTS OF OTHER HUMAN BULLSHIT. I am not saying that this is bad anime... **Lets say that the "philosophical problems" are here for more than just as fundamental plot device for good story...** As anime (story, characters, visuals ...), I love this piece. But, big aspect of it are the (aforementioned) philosophical "somethings". The questions may be thought provoking, but I think that they were pointless (many of these question cant be answered in other way than by speculations, and you just have to choose answer that you somewhat like...), and answers were developed very poorly(kinda "do what makes youhappy") ... which made story less enjoyable, because there were developed through story ... Do not get me wrong, the story was unique and entertaining to watch, but when some of the main protagonist tried to solve for himself one(most) of those questions, it kinda felt like he could as well just ask himself if he wants to be asshole or good person, and after choosing one of those he could just decide on further development by tossing coin...
**Now let's assume that all the philosophical thing were there just for story and not for you to think about them... **
This assumption just sound silly and I can't acknowledge that this maybe the intent of creators....
To sum it up, many times while watching this, I caught myself really enjoying how easy to watch and beautifully made this anime is. But then (either I remembered or the story delved into it), the philosophical aspect which felt somehow immature and underdeveloped/straightforward ruined that moment for me ... OR maybe I'm just overthinking it...
