Review of Shiki

This was a bit hard to get into at first for 2 simple reasons: 1) typical vampire stories are rather boring. 2) annoying characters!! There's nothing worse when trying to enjoy an anime than 1 or 2 really annoying characters who are present more often than they should be. The story really didn't get interesting until half way through. Like I said, it was the typical vampire story. I even began to wonder if everyone was going to let just accept things the way they were happening, but that's when it got interesting, as you'll see much later onin the series.

I'm a huge fan of soundtracks and the music to this one, especially the background music, went beautifully w/ this anime. Made it easier to make it through the annoying character scenes.

Ended too abruptly and that was irritating but I've seen plenty others that were like that so it wasn't too unexpected but it made it worse since it wasn't until late in the series that it really got interesting.

Unlike what others had claimed, this was not in the least, scary. It's worth watching but I wouldn't put anything else on hold to watch it.
