Review of A Certain Magical Index

Toaru Majutsu no Index (2008) For a 2008 show, this is superbly done and honestly, I wish I hadn't put it off for so long due to the size of the series. The story is pretty fast-paced and even episode 1 wastes no time at all getting you straight into the action. I think it is greatly paced and covers various arcs quite quickly but substantially enough to enjoy it. I know there is a huge amount of content to cover if you did everything. The art is superb for its age, being serious and funny at the same time. It has great-looking effects and isgreat to watch.

The OP and ED are pretty average and nothing special. The OP is better than the ED, The ED has a slight Black Lagoon feeling to it which was nice, especially by looks though.

The characters are all pretty well developed and important to the story or should I say stories. It was surprising how you can go from hating someone like Accelerator to thinking he is hard done by.

I wasn't expecting some of the most famous memes from the show to be in just episode 1 that was a pretty big surprise. I look forward to continuing the show, I binged it pretty easily in 2 days.

9/10. A great start for an older show.
