Review of Shiki

For my anime reviews I am going to review the anime on the order of which you would experience while watching an episode of the anime that is being reviewed. 1.Art - At first when I watched this anime the art was to exotic in my opinion and I made a decision that it was bad.... that opinion soon changed. I found myself being overwhelmed by the dark depiction of art and it turn out to be a good thing. I also thoroughly enjoyed all of the character models because of how different they were from each other and I've gotta say, the hairin this show was over the top. I enjoyed all of the art in this anime and it wasn't that it was the best art style, but I wasn't able to find anything that bothered me. Since it's not the best but a very dark and beautiful art style I give art a 9. Yes... I did like the hair. ; )

2.Sound - Well..... wow. The soundtrack for this anime blew me away. It was appropriate for every scene in this show and it emitted the emotions of this anime flawlessly. I will still be listening to this soundtrack a year from now and I will probably still love it. It was perfect for me 10/10.

3.Character - I can definitely say that this anime has very good characters and here is why. Instead of saying they have a lack of back story I looked at the roles the characters play. They each play a specific role that adds a different point of view in this anime and gives you a look of how the different people think. It shows that people all have very deferent opinions and because of that I didn't really mind not having a lot of back story. That being said, back story is a very important part of the character and that is why character only gets an 8.

4.Story - Yes the story has problems with pacing but I didn't bother me, maybe i'm just a patient person. Some people may not like it but even shows like Stiens Gate have pacing issues so stop fuckin' complaining about it. Really..... just have patience it really pays off. The story was very interesting to me in the way that it blurred the lines between bad and good. Sometimes I could not tell what side the characters were on and the whole show questioned morality as we know it in society. That interested me and I loved how the story did that. I DID LIKE THE ENDING of coarse I can't give spoilers but I didn't have a problem with it. I think it sufficiently answered it's own question of morality but because of those pesky pacing issues I give it an 8.

5.Enjoyment - Have you ever felt forsaken..... well that is how this anime made me feel. I felt reality melt away from me and I started to become immersed in the terrible, yet beautiful world of Shiki. The characters struggles became my struggles and I believe that's how every anime should be. Many people would think that this anime is support to be scary but honestly, I found my self more heart stricken then I did scared. Part of the reason I loves this anime might be because I try to look on the bright side of things and when I did that I found this anime very worthy of my time. I was surprised when I saw reviews for this anime and I think that every weeb should check this anime out. I think that people see this anime in a way it's not suppose to be seen and I am very disappointed about that. For me, I am proud to say I enjoyed this anime 10/10!

This anime is an overall 10.
