Maple Colors is school hentai OVA made in 2004. The series has many problems with random sex scenes that don't make sense how the characters got to having sex in the first place and really this show needed a third episode to clear things up. Story - 4/10 It's not a bad idea, but it was executed poorly and ends up being very confusing. The show follows Saku Yoshijirou who transfers to a new school and is put into the delinquent class, 2-B. The class has a reputation of being treated like crap by the faculty and other students leading to bullying, vandalism, and near expulsion ofthe students. Yoshijirou gets into a fight on his first day of school trying to protect some of his classmates from bullies and is nearly expelled along with the rest of his class. I really don't know understand what happens exactly with that, but several sex scenes later in the second episode, they decide to make a play. Yoshijirou goes around beating people at their own game (by flukes or cheating) and tries to get them to be a part of the play that he and the other class leader, Aoi, are working on (I think that's the point at least). And that's pretty much the confusing plot.

Art - 3/10

It's really pretty bland (but at least it's not censored). The sex scenes don't having very much detail and the rest of the scenery is just a standard school. Character designs are standard as well. Really nothing to say, the art is just slightly below average everywhere.

Sound - 3/10

The music is boring and pretty easy to miss entirely and the rest of the voice actors are bad, in and out of sex scenes.

Character - 2/10

This show provides almost no development for any character. The girls just get their one sex scene with Yoshijirou (some introduced prior to the scene and some not) and then you pretty much never see them again. The one really good sex scene in the beginning of the second episode is the most confusing. A girl (who I guess was maybe in Class 2-B?) is caught smoking by a teacher. Somehow (shown in a flashback interrupting the good sex scene) Yoshijirou somehow finds her, somehow gets her out of trouble, and then has sex with her. Still the sex scene is pretty great despite the flashback and the girl is hot and wearing a sweatshirt which is just a nice change from the usual green uniform.

The other girls are basically this:
- "Rich girl" who has sex with some "rich guy" who bullies the people in Class 2-B (only sex scene not involving Yoshijirou)
- Slut
- Bookworm who comes after school to the library to masturbate to an erotic novel
- Actress who barely ever comes to school
- Main girl who is kind of left out and might have gotten a sex scene with the MC had this show had a third episode

Oddly enough, the pink haired girl also gets no sex scene and isn't even an important character which is strange for only hentai, but anime in general to demote a pink-haired girl to the supporting cast

Enjoyment - 4/10

I really liked the first sex scene in Episode 2 despite how random it was and the flashback in the middle of it. Other than that, not much really appealed to me. The rest of the sex scenes were mediocre, the voice acting was pretty bad with too much Clannad to enjoy the porn, and the story was poorly executed. It's a fairly average vanilla hentai with the only really big plus being that it's not censored, but still the art wasn't really good enough to make up for it.
