Review of Monster

I just finished the whole anime and it was beyond my expectations. Before watching it, I had no idea how much I needed to see a great thing like this. Brilliant characters and story, great character development, nice soundtracks and also amazing dialogues. Its slow pace in some parts might seems annoying but trust the process. You'll see all these things come together and the puzzle will be solved at the end. The concept of how childhood affects someone's character and personality was shown perfectly in Monster. You can also see some other elements like nihilism and psychopathy used in it. To some people, this anime might hasnothing but a really dark and sad line but as they say, only in the darkness can you see the stars.. I'm not saying it's a happy anime or something, (watching the first four episodes are enough to discover its dark and mysterious atmosphere) but sometimes, only hope, trust and friendship help the characters to move forward from the situation they are in.

There were also many scenes that could really touch my heart and make me emotional, shocked, happy, sad and even out of my mind.
In fact, existence of all these kind of feelings in Monster is something comprehensible and realistic to us, as humans. They all make this anime to something more than imaginary characters and a fantasy world.

I recommend it if you enjoy mystery, psychological thriller and crime genres. Just remember, you should wait to find out the truth. Stay patient and enjoy the path, destination will come itself !
