Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

This series has classic 90s art style and well animated, aside from being one of the defining shows of the entire anime genre First let me start with the music. The music is really good. I also like how Fly Me to the Moon at the end is different every time. The Rei one is my favorite. I like all the characters except Asuka. For some reason among many people on the internet this she seems to be one of the most popular characters in all of anime but I really hate her. However it's satisfying having disliked her so much for the last few episodes andeven the movie to be essentially Asuka being stuck into a coma then constantly strangled by Shinji.

My favorite detail are all the religious references that make it cool. Hearing Lance of Loginus, Dead Sea Scrolls, etc.. as synonyms for stuff in the show is a nice touch. And like I said before, it has one of the few anime OSTs that really stick with you after watching it. All of the episodes matter and there's really no filler or dull moments. I would say my favorite episode is probably the one where Kaworu Nagisa gets introduced. That episode itself was like a little movie.
