Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion
I don't generally go for Mecha anything (Although I am open to trying anything), but this anime just stood out for me. For me the Eva Unit's being more of an extension of the human characters than the main characters themselves and the integration of bio technology in the Eva Units helped grab my attention. The deep psychological premise to this anime is absolutely amazing, keeps you thinking long after you have finished watching, and for an older anime is still relatable now and probably for years to come. I have one major fault that almost ruined an amazing series for me it was thelast 2 (25-26) episodes. It felt like the they rushed it or just lazy. There is so much missing between episode 24 and 25/ 26 you could swear that you accidentally skipped a few episodes (I literally thought I did). Where I do understand 25 and 26's craziness it felt like lazy work just showing and saying the same stuff over, with no tie-in point or resolve.
However I believe the films come to the rescue and do a much better job of connecting the loose ends and ending the series.
*However I would definitely re-watch the series because I feel like it's one of those shows you can find something new or that you missed every time you watch it, even understand something better or in a different way from when you first watched it.
