Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

Back in 1995 this must have been a good anime. However, I have watched this anime and have been detesting this Anime all the way. The MC (Ikari, Shinji) cries, complains and whines almost every episode. The story is about him, but at a certain moment you just don't care about him anymore. Souryuu, Asuka Langley is a great character.But Ayanami, Rei who is the poster girl of this series is just a filler, you just stop caring about her.

They never do they explain were the angels come from(they just appear), or why they use 14 year old children to pilot the Eva's
And were did the Spear of Longinus come from?
The penguin is funny, but also they never explain where it came from.

This anime must have cost nothing to make because a lot of the time you are watching still images with the sound of people thinking and talking.
I have watched 1 scene of 5 min. and nothing moved during this scene, it was just a still image.

Friends told me to watch the anime to the end, but wow what a waste of time that was.
The last 3 episodes was all about:
Why I'm i here? Why do people hate me? Why do I hate myself? Who are you? and on and on and on.

and a lot of flashing images
3 episodes long...………………...that's 60+ min

The ending was also pretty bad, I'm not spoiling but just watch it if you must.

Maybe they explain everything in the movies, but if they can't peak my interest in 26 episodes. I'm not going to watch 2 more movies

This must have been a masterpiece back in the day, but don't waste your time on this.
There are so much better anime to watch.
