Review of Paprika
It's a creative drug trip that has a very unique style to it with it feeling like a fever dream at times. The characters were enjoyable and had their fun moments. The obvious bad guy is an obvious bad guy but didn't ruin the experience and was in line with the rest of the film. Creative use with the concept in the film and even with the character's abilities. The other aspect I love is how you can interpret the visuals about the character in the dream world and how fitting the appearance is to the given characters. Outside the bad guy nothing about this feels predictableand feels like you're being taken on an insanely creative ride. The characters aren't idiots but do act on their flaws in a way that makes sense. Exploring the minds of the characters along with having details within the story come back around later to being relevant.
Even with a side character having his character arch tie into the story which was well executed.
This is recommended to those who enjoy a creative imaginative story that gives it's supporting characters some love, that's one hell of a fever dream of a movie.
