Review of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day
Just finished AnoHana, left me in tears. This anime is such a raw outcry of emotion on par with something like Clannad or your lie in April. I recommend it to any and all who have not had the luck of stumbling open this wonderful anime. As the credits roll the song Secret base plays, one that reduces anybody who watched it to tears. This is an underrated anime which definitely deserves more attention. It portrays the loss of a loved one in such a playful yet tear-jerking way which you can't resist but to weep at. AnoHana has a large symbolism in flowers, whichis partly lost during the translation in the name. It symbolizes a reminiscent love. One which plays a key driving force for the anime. Something like AnoHana is something I will one day look back and remember. Remember and cry. That's what will happen. Hoping, somewhere deep in my heart that everything will end up well.
