Quick review for this. But while I did like S1, I felt like it lacking plot was the biggest drawback. So what does S2 do? Give more plot, new characters and just improves everything that the first season set up already. Really wish we got another season or even specials, as what we have here is excellent stuff. If the first season didn't completely interest you, perhaps try out the 2nd season after, you might really like it. The new visual style is nice as well. Not to say S1 looked bad, but S2 just looks... I think it just suits the show better overall comparedto S1. As well as Hajime being a fantastic addition to the show, I think holding back Hotaru to give her some spotlight was a good decision, however I wouldn't say she needed to be gone for half the season.

The only drawbacks I can really give it is the lack of memorable OST, the less memorable but still fine OP and ED and it being a little on the short side, but that doesn't take away from it being a great slice of life/gourmet focused show.
