Review of Tsukigakirei
Tsukigakirei is an absolute hidden gem in the romance anime genre. It is slow-paced yet feels intentional, which makes the viewer feel the awkwardness between the characters. The show captures the feeling of youthfulness that I experienced during my own youth. The keyword for why I recommend this anime is "realistic." Back then, I had no idea how to date a girl, how to communicate with her, what she wanted, or how to display my feelings publicly without getting embarrassed, etc. The issues raised by the main character’s struggles with family expectations also felt very real, and the way these conflicts were resolved brought me totears. With its good choice of music, strong voice acting, and good-enough animation, this anime is an easy recommendation and deserves a spot in my top 10 anime of all time (FYI, I’ve watched tons of anime).
