Review of Devilman: Crybaby
|I want to make clear that i have not read the 1972 manga as I am an anime only| They recommended me to see it, supposedly it was very good and it could even make you cry but in my opinion it is overrated. The characters can be said that they have no depth and are superficial, for example the MC who makes stupid decisions, an example is his behavior towards Ryo from the first chapter, you can see that he does not mind hurting people and he did not complain or does minor comments like "dude that's not right" but when his friend started to directthat attitude to the girl who Akira likes he's like "no I don't allow that, let's fight" and those who could be considered complex have not developed them.
the story itself is original but it has not been written in the correct way they focus more on violence, death and sex, is a support to the story and they are relevant but things like excessive fan service take away the desire to see it, As for violence and death, it attracts people and I think it has been one of the reasons why I have continued to watch this anime, but it focuses more on the present and how humans react but at no time is it related to the devilmans and the devils themselves, but it is an accompaniment to the story.
The art is not the best but they still did a good job.
The soundtrack is not remarkable and you can even forget or not realize the presence of the accompaniment, except in two major scenes in terms of those moments in which you realize that there is something that accompanies the scene was well selected and is remembered .
In terms of enjoyment, I can't say that I liked anything else other than blood and deaths, I wouldn't recommend it, but it wouldn't prevent people from watching it.
