Review of Devilman: Crybaby

Devilman Crybaby, this anime was a roller coaster that I ended up thoroughly enjoying till the end. Two tears were dropped by the end of it so something must have been done right. Devilman has a pretty jarring start, because of the heavy nudity and sex it feels so off balance. Explicit scenes are cool and all but it came all to quickly and strongly. This definitely had a positive outcome though, it kept me watching and made me want to figure out what was going on in this fever dream of a beginning. Straight boobies everywhere with flying colors. I sat through the chaosto be cleared of confusion and then it commenced once again. The plot gets pretty solid towards the middle albeit fuzzy during the beginning and later episodes. I really liked this sort of bland-ish art style that didn't incorporate too much detail, the anime is pleasing to look at. I'm not a huge audiofile so sound doesn't really stand out to me therefore I do not know what is "very good" as a opposed to "good" which is why I went for a 7. Akira was a great character in my opinion and his crybaby persona sat well with me, he and Miki are the reasons I shed those tears. I enjoyed those characters and thoroughly hated Ryou; and rightfully so. These polarizing feelings towards the main characters pulled me into a chaotic mess that is Devilman, and I would be lying to you if I said I didn't enjoy watching.
