Review of Terra Formars

Great animation and sound design. I had fun watching this despite not feeling fully engaged in some of the characters' development or the overall plot. Keeping in mind that I haven't read the manga, though I may do so after watching this. I feel like this may just be me overthinking the context of the show, but I felt uneasy after reading this post: https://thekenpire.com/2015/03/17/terra-formars-is-an-obscenely-racist-manga-and-anime-series-but-its-sort-of-hilarious/ Title is self explanatory. It definitely gave me some serious imperialism vibes, and the roaches themselves (particularly their overall character design, their movement, and how they cock their guns sideways) just seemed like a weird caricature of a racial stereotype. Maybe I'mwrong, but it definitely made watching this show weird having this context to go off of.
