Review of Amnesia

At first I was skeptical about this anime because it's about a girl who loses her memory and she needs to interact with various hot guys to get them back...okay? But as I progress more into the series, I was hook. It's actually really interesting because of the mystery involving the Heroine's memory loss. Story: 7/10 The plot was really confusing for a couple of episodes but as I keep on watching it actually made decent sense. Like I said, the mystery surrounding the Heroine is exciting and makes me want to keep on watching. However, it does get predictable later on which slightly degrades the excitingpart. But it is still enjoyable. Also since this is an otome game, the transition of the Heroine's interaction with each guy is GENIUS!!! I give it ten gold stars. It's like choosing a route but in an anime.

Art: 10/10
The art in this anime is remarkably beautiful, especially the male characters' eyes. They seem to draw me in Also the characters' clothing designs isn't what you would see on everyday common wear, which makes them unique and important to the story.

Sound: 8/10
I really like the opening theme of this anime. It fits the mysterious mood of this plot perfectly. The beginning of the song gave me the feeling of emptiness and the questions, "who am I and where am I?" which fits the Heroine's situation pretty well since she did lose her memories. Then during the middle of the song, it suddenly transition to rock music which gave me the feeling of 'never giving up' which also fits the Heroine's personality of not giving up searching for her lost memories. The ending theme isn't nearly as good as the opening, but it's still good. I like the singer's soft/quiet tone in the beginning of the song. It gave me the mysterious feeling of the plot.

Character: 6/10
The Heroine's character is quite disappointing. She's too obeying. Like if you tell her to sit in that corner of the room until dawn, then she will do it. No questions ask. People can easily take advantage of her if she doesn't learn how to stand up for herself. Also speaking of not standing up for herself, she mostly relies on her trusty fairy's opinions about various situations rather than her own. It gave me the feeling that she can't do anything by herself.

As for the hot guys, their personalities are quite bland and predictable. You can practically tell what they'll do next, except for a certain guy...I thought that he was this type of character, but actually he suddenly turns 180 and he's actually this type of character. It's very unexpected and so that's why I gave the character section a 6/10 rather than a 4/10.

I really enjoy the series. The mystery and the unexpected guy made me want to watch this series more and more. I was even hoping for a season two since the otome game of this anime have sequels. Please let it happen someday because I need to see more of that guy's route.
