Review of The Rising of the Shield Hero

I thought the anime was starting off so slow and generic the first episode. Towards the end of the episode I really noticed the premise booming out and becoming creative and interesting. The character becomes a sort of anti-hero while having to be the hero by situation even after being forsaken by the people of the kingdom. The side characters quickly become the stars of the show, with rich back stories without being long boring back story pits. The politics of the kingdom paired with the stories of the main characters are beautifully intertwined. I will recommend this to any fan of anime and anyone of my friends
