Review of A Place Further Than The Universe
This anime is the reason i need to stop judging anime's by their covers. "Oh jeez, japan. This time, high school girls are going to ANTARCTICA?! Hard pass" But someone convinced me. While it does have a few "Convenient" incidents and aligning of goals, it manages to make things believable throughout. Fair warning though: A piece of media has never made me sob so much before. The pain is so realistic because of how masterfully crafted the narrative is when it finally hits. Ouch, my feels. How did they managed to make the simple struggles of life, kinship, and a journey into the unknown into sucha highly emotional one? The layers peel back episode-by-episode and the fun and happiness becomes matched with the melancholy of tragedy and life itself. Friendship. Bitter acceptance. And learning to put one foot in front of the other. A place further than the universe is not so far after all when you find the right people.
