Review of Lazarus

Lazarus I thought in the beginning had a really promising premise, and seemed it would be quite an interesting story/idea. That did not happen. On many different fronts. I would be lying if I said I didn't have expectations because it was MAPPA doing this show, but my expectations weren't met, and honestly were ignored. The Plot itself for this show felt it was going in circles for more than half of the show. Only towards the end did the plot start to eventually move. The animation for the show is say was probably in the middle. Some episodes were very well animated (Example episode4), or they were visibly bad (Example episode 5). It almost seemed as they couldn't find a middle ground and just settled on less than average.

One point I feel this series excelled at in my opinion, is the characters. I felt they were very interesting and the different pairings were an interesting watch. One of my favorite pairings in the first episode became a reality <3 so that was nice. But seeing this random group of characters interact in different settings and places was a nice watch. But that's probably the only notable thing I enjoyed.

I also want to mention, to only reason I decided to finish this show was because I was curious about the ending. How'd they manage to tie everything up. I didn't hate the ending, it was a little unsatisfactory though. I felt I could see it coming and it seemed at little rushed.

In summary, objectively I wouldn't say this series is horrible or anything, but it definitely could've been better. It wasn't a total waste of time. I enjoyed watching it late at night :)
