Michi’s short, sweet & informal overview of: given. - The comedic timing is my favourite aspect of this anime. - The animation, with the facial expressions mostly, was clear and full of personality. - Really nice art style is a bonus - Now I know a lot about guitars, sweet. - The depth felt realistic and not forced.I rate this anime a solid 8/10 overall and, well, here’s the small paragraph! (This is my first time ever compiling a somewhat coherent review so I do apologise if it isn't too great in quality and detail!):

So, finding ‘given.’ wasn’t intentional on my part. I was scrolling aimlessly through Crunchyroll, hoping to find an anime to bring me back into the mindset of sitting down and actually watching some good anime; my genre is romance, this series showed itself as a colourful romance so I gave it a shot.

I have to say that I enjoyed this anime way more than I thought I would. The art style and the characters were the two main components that really helped me get into this series and stay. They all felt genuinely realistic and their animation (Other than the random 3D models, which I’m still not too sure on…) paired beautifully with their personalities.

The romance was also great and realistic, the pacing wasn’t too fast and it wasn’t too slow; it was pretty perfect and kept me hooked and interested.

The grief and the histories of the characters were also excellently done, I have to admit during a certain scene… I was sobbing pretty much the entire time.

So, to sum it all up… if you’re debating on if you should watch this and if it has enough of what you’re looking for, I 100% recommend you to go for it and give the first episode a try!
