If you treat this as a light hearted parody of the isekai genre it's honestly bloody fantastic. It's not a serious show, it doesn't try to be one. It's a bit of light fluff that is making fun of itself and the genre it's in. To the point where the MC is complaining that he doesn't want to be more OP! The show will of course have it's haters who were looking for a serious self-insert protag. But this isn't the sort of show they were looking for. The art is almost deliberately cheesy at times, reminds me a bit ofwhoever animated Toriko, (It's not that I don't think, but I can see some stylistic influences here and there.)

Honestly If you liked the "Airplane/Flying High" type stuff from the 80s, and like anime, and are aware of all the isekai tropes, you may enjoy this. If you're looking for dark gritty self-insert crap, this is not your bag.

It's not laugh out loud funny, but it gets a fair few snickers and chuckles.
