I love this anime!!! Okay so I know a lot of people think this anime is a ripoff of fushigi yuugi and while there are some similarities I think this is still pretty different. I actually like this better. First off I love the characters!! Shimon is so adorable, my favorite is probably Eisen! I think all the characters are fleshed out and the themes are well done. I saw some people say the main character Akane is boring or bland I really like her, I think she's cute and sweet! Each of the guardians have 2 episodes that focuses on them, which was reallynice in helping you care about the characters. Also the art is beautiful!! When I first watched the anime I thought it was from 2008 not 2004, all the characters look different, the art style is detailed and so beautiful. I think the plot is interesting and has good pacing, it gets better and better as it goes on. The plot takes lots of different twists and I wasn't expecting certain things to happen. I think the world building is also well done and very magical and dream like. The music is also really good, I like the op and first ed the best. All in all I really recommend this anime! ^_^ if you like bishonen and fantasy and romance I think you will like it a lot! I love all the different guys personalities and they're all so kind and interesting!
