Plot ML is your typical dark romance lead, who claims to love FL and kills everyone else (including FL's family). FL manages to kill ML while sacrificing her life too. When a dying ML asks what he could have done different to win her love, she tells him that he should have been a better person. When ML (not FL which is usually the trope) regresses back in time, he resolves to do better and win FL's heart. Review The plot is the summary of first chapter, and can be very misleading. Did you think ML is going to be some dark toxic hunk? Nah. ML is whitewashedpretty early on by making someone else the root of all evil. Instead, the story makes ML into your usual happy-go-lucky clumsy dumb princess (eg: bakarina), who is loved by almost everyone around him.

I'm not complaining though. I do love male leads who are clumsy, bright and bashful. I wanna see their faces turn red, when FL holds their hands. With all that said, we still need to judge this series, so, here it goes:

Positives
- Tsundere male lead. This is your reason to read. We have a decent wholesome side cast, that all work together.
- Pretty character designs (especially, FL's friends).
- the series is a comedy, inside a serious setting.

Negatives
- The art is not bad, but feels very generic, static and boring. The action/serious scenes in particular, lack impact.
- The mystery ends up being a predictable naruto trope (evil fox hidden inside). The evil villain is also kinda cringe and boring.
- The more fascinating characters like crown princess don't do much on screen.

Overall
A fun cast and comedy carry this series. As far as otome-isekai go, the rest is pretty mid and nobody would regret dropping/ignoring this. I would still recommend this for OI fans, because a *cheerful* tsundere male lead is rare in this genre (compared to all the stoic cold dukes).
