Nice Prison is a manga that is funny in it's randomness and doesn't stop being absurd until the end. The story progressed in an unexpected way with each chapter but formed a logical path nonetheless. The jokes felt very fitting for the story, with some even turning out to be an important part of it. Multiple jokes were referenced again as the manga went forward and had new elements added to them. Even though some of the jokes didn't make me laugh, the silly atmosphere made it fun to read. You could never be sure what to expect in the next chapter. The only part of themanga I felt wasn't good were the characters. I think their designs added to the absurdity and fit the manga well but the characters themselves seemed flat, as if they had only one personality trait. Personally, I didn't feel attached to any of them in particular.

If you love random humor, Nice Prison is perfect for you. If not, I wouldn't recommend to read it.
