TO START OFF THIS REVIEW CONTAINS ALOT OF SPOILERS: watched hxh over the series of 4.5 months at leisure and lemme tell you its definitely worth watching. Despite lots of people giving it a 10 from reading the other reviews its definitely not worth a 10 rating but the story is definitely amazing and worth the 148 episodes. Art: 8 Truthfully i wasn't very impressed by the art of the show in the first arc (hunter exam arc) i believe but as soon it goes into the phantom troupe, the drawing style will definitely grow on you. You see the growth in the art workas the series goes by and by the last episode (when gon climbs the oldest tree), the artwork is an absolute masterpiece.

Sound: 7

Initially the score of the show is quite childish, with nothing really sticking. But by the time of the chimera arc comes around, was when i was sold the soundtrack of the show. Hyori Ittai is a masterpiece of an ending (definitely one of my fave anime endings of all time) and their use of this song in instrumental and piano versions had the perfect delivery in the sad scenes of the show onwards. The song Understanding used in the last scene between Mereum and Komugi was the perfect choice of song and amplified the scene 1000x.

Character: 10

boy, if not for the plot the characters and the relationships between the characters make it worthwhile.

First of all, the relationship berween Killua and Gon is the most pure and heartwarming thing you'll ever watch in any anime series. I see lots of people making parallels between Naruto and Sasuke but they're very uncomparable. Killua (who people compare to Sasuke) has an undying admiration and love for Gon as a friend and Gon changes his life without even quite realizing it. They depend on each other in ways the two of them don't realize as Gon shows Killua the meaning of life and what it's like to live while Killua is the backbone support to everything Gon dreams to do. Everything Gon ever accomplished in the show was because Killua;s behind the scene actions he does to support them. Killua also does lots for Gon without ever asking for credit indicating the sense of unconditional selflessness in the friendship. The love between these two boys alone makes the show completely worthwhile

My second favourite relationship is between Mereum and Komugi. Lots of character analysis on reddit and posts helped me realized why they truly have the most beautiful relationship and i get emotional even thinking about it.

Enjoyment: 9

Aside from the very slow parts, i thought the last arc (the voting of the last chairman) was a little slow and hard to watch but the whole show leaves you with a warming feeling at the end of every episode.

Overall: 8.6

There's is a reason why its a 9 on my animelist and its the fourth most popular anime series of all time.
