Review of High School DxD
The Ecchi and Supernatural genre have never got along so well with Comedy it's almost a dream. Story: 10/10 We are introduced to a 2nd year student Issei Hyoudo, By all means a normal dude in everything with his buddies just transferred in to a prestigious Academy. Kuoh Academy Private Institution filled with what seems to be filled with high class young women with the sole intention of creating a Harem. Since before their transfer Kuoh Academy was a all female school that went coed a year ago, To the disappointment of Issei the reality isn't what the dream that he foresaw with his buddies. The harsh reality?Issei and his buddies are despised by the student body for having over active libidos and extreme desire to go on a date. He is shown to be under the observation of a Red haired beauty asking for his name, She sent a spy to keep a tab on Issei. Pervert at the exterior Issei is pure at heart and on his way home he meets a girl his age from another institution that flat out confessed to him.
Issei goes out with the girl on a date he has methodically prepared with the greatest of anticipation, Imagine his surprise that after the date comes to an end she whispers to his Ear a favor.
"...Will you die For me?"
High School DxD it's the empire of well done of the Raunchy Genre [Ecchi], It's chemistry with Supernatural element It's nothing short of masterful, As the series manages to pull most of the Fan Service as Erotica and the choice of OST during the scenes are downright on point. This series is literally Erotica meets Comedy and gets along with Supernatural.
Unlike the trolls that just write bad out their ass without even knowing what the hell Ecchi is, I have watched all ecchi anime in existence and Let me tell you I've actually seen the bad and this is GOOD.
ART: 10/10
The animation it's brought to us by TNK not exactly a renowned studio that after making this series made the Otaku community noticed them as a force to be reckoned with.
The art it's refreshing and the coloring it's vivid yet cold enough to bring out the situations to good light portrayed.
Sound: 10/10
The intro and ED is amazing, The cast is passionate and pour their hearts to everything they do. The OST are methodically done right.
Characters: 10 / 10
The characters are refreshing and unlike other Ecchi there isn't a Tsundere or the other Deres that are so common in anime with the exception of the popular Kudere with a rest of a crew of women yet to have a type of dere assigned to them.
This anime also brings a Sadist to the crew of hotties and let me tell you her input to the Fan Service it's outright orgasmic. A form of uniqueness that brings Ecchi to a whole new level.
Enjoyment: 10 / 10
I was baffled by the execution, Ecchi animes unlike other genres aren't about the plot. In fact doing a plot review most of the time on Ecchi anime will make the reviewer look like a total NOOB and you wouldn't be taken serious as a reviewer. Since Ecchi genre is Raunchy and it's exist for sheer entertainment and lighten up the mood.
However DxD steps up to the plate and pushes the bar to a level not know to the genre to step up their game. It might as well be the evolution of Ecchi.

If you love Ecchi, Supernatural and Comedy together and wanna be surprised with some thriller?. This anime is for you, Granted you know the definition of Ecchi and Fan Service and know full well that whining of Fan Service on a Ecchi installation is like Wondering why do gore flick have blood.
