Review of Fate/Zero
(Note: this review will cover both season one & two.) In a world that canonically takes place after the events of Monty Python, Fate/Zero shatters through the glass ceiling of garbage McDonalds waifu anime by being one of the best written shows in anime history. How it does so is an achievement that deserves to be watched. Emiya Kiritsugu is a hired assassin with one job, to win the holy grail. 7 masters each select an unfortunate historical soul to seal into one of 7 different classes of combatant, these being: Archer, Assassin, Berserker, Caster, Lancer, Rider & Saber. A battle royale is to be ensued, &the price of defeat risks death. The victor is to be crowned with the Holy Grail, which can grant any one wish within it's power.
Despite the Deja vu this concept can bring, Fate's strength is less the Grail War itself, & more so how it affects the lives of the characters who are fighting it. In the end, everyone changes, for better or worse, & what is right or wrong is inevitably overturned. Fate/Zero is absolutely worth your time, I cannot recommend it enough.
TLDR: Fortnite Dragonball but with a good story.
