Review of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Story 9/10 After the powerful Empire of Britannia invades and conquers Japan they turn it into a shadow of itself renaming it Area 11. Lelouch Lamperouge is a Britannian student living in Area 11 however he has no love for his homeland although he doesn’t get involved in any sort of resistance maintaining a sort of neutrality over events until one day he is caught up in a resistance operation this leads to him meeting a mysterious girl who gives him an amazing power that allows him control other people and make them obey him. He decides to use this power to fight for justice with the ultimategoal of destroying the Britannian Empire and bringing peace to the world.
May not sound the best on paper but Code Geass has an excellent story filled with drama and intrigue.
Art 8/10
A little dated now but still looks good and has a certain charm to it.
Sound 9/10
Sound and music is both very good with excellent voice acting.
Characters 9/10
Lelouch is one of the finest characters around he shows great determination and intelligence and is a brilliant leader for the resistance against the Britannian Empire there are also some excellent support characters which help enhance the story although they can’t quite match up to the brilliant MC.
Enjoyment 10/10
From episode 1 I was hooked on this Code Geass has plenty of action and excitement, drama and intrigue to keep the viewer watching.
Overall 9/10
