This series has many fantastic aspects, however it also has many terrible aspects. I do not even know where to start. I might as well start from the beginning. One of the best episodes of the series is definitely the first, in which the Gundams come out of now where and kick some ass. From the beginning, however, we see was ultimately brings this series down: the gimmicks. The GM drives are just a gimmicky plot device, the solar energy system (even though it is pretty cool) seems very silly, and there are other things that leak through. There seems to be to much that thecharacters have to just accept - the series becomes busy. It is very much like Gundam Wing and lacks the "real robot" aspect that is the original Gundam. Most Gundam series that fall out of the Universal Century cannot measure up.

Once you have watched the Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, other series do not quit measure up. Gundam 00 is no exception.

The interesting things about this series is the politics. I liked how very real this series was in terms out how the nations operated and the political decisions involved in dealing with the Gundams. Unfortunately, this gets drowned out by the "Gundam Meisters." They are called MEISTERS which is just extremely pretentious and lame. This exemplifies the snotty philosophy and ideas that go through out the series. It attempts to be deep but fails.

The most interesting characters are the minor ones and are ignored. The main characters have interesting aspects to them, but they tend to be pushed aside.

The mechanical designs are very creative. Yet, lack any practicality and can be ridiculous at times. I do enjoy the Union Flags. The character designs are okay. I love Tieria, however I feel that they could have become more Military-esque. The fight scenes are well done and advanced.

The entire story is run by a "plan" which, in my opinion, is completely far fetched. It relies on too many things, and is just unrealistic.

There are 3 things which I give this series a pat on the back for: Alejandro Corner, Saji and Louise, and Ribbons at the end of the series.

The first season is much better than the second, which I will also write one, which my full criticism will be.
