Review of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day
(Drama, Romance, Supernatural) This is a story recommended to all teenagers So in this story there is a group of childhood friends who have drifted apart due to the death of their friend Menma. Now years later the group of friends are in high school and each of them are forced to face their own traumatic past due to the fact that Jinta Yadomi the main character of the story claims that Menma has come back as a ghost. The series at first may not seem like much but I wouldhave to say if I had to choose a series where I cried the most this would definitely be the one. This series captures the emotion and human relationships extremely well. The story was very well thought and every episode you would be left wondering what was going to happen next. The artworks are extremely fresh and beautiful and suits the animation very well.
The there was a good variety in the characters personalities and the designs were very cute. You couldn’t help but imagine the emotion the characters were feeling at the time of this animation. Also I believe as a teenager you can’t help but remember your own child hood friends. And the series will bring back memories of when you were still running around pretending to be a super hero or having a secret hide out. The ending was extremely touching and you can’t help but wish that other people could experience what you had just experienced from this series.
10/10
