Review of Junjo Romantica

Junjo Romantica is a great yaoi anime, I say yaoi anime on purpose. As an anime, it's so-so I guess, but I'm a huge yaoi-fan and I loves this anime. It's one of the cutest shows I've ever seen. let's discuss it: Story: 7/10 Well, the story isn't that great, I admit. It's pretty obvious what will happen and it's not really progressing. You're just following three couples and how they are changing in the relationship, overcoming obstacles and sometimes becoming the obstacles themselves. The main couple is Misaki/Usami, "side couples" are Hiroki/Nowaki and Miyagi/Shinobu. I liked that they all sort of know each other (except Shinobu). The reasonwhy I rated the story 7 is because it's slooooow, especially how Misaki is unable to say "I love you" which goes on like 5 episodes. But, if you're a yaoi-fan like me, you won't find it disturbing.

Art: 7/10
I liked the art, maybe it's a bit angular, but it fits the story. It's not amazing artwork, but it doesn't need amazing artwork. The soft pastel-colors fit the yaoi-genre and the cuteness.

Sound: 9/10
Great voice actors! I think that's quite important. A voice actors can make or break the character. Takahiro Sakurai as Misaki is doing an amazing job, as always. The music didn't really caught my attention, although the opening and ending are nice.

Character: 9/10
I think this anime really depends on the characters and not on the story. The "ukes" are developing in the relationship, Misaki doesn't want to be a burden to anyone, Hiroki has had missed chances with Usami, Miyagi has a dead (female) lover. But they all bloom in their relationships and it's nice to see them trying to overcome their flaws for their lovers.

Enjoyment: 10/10
Because it's the best yaoi-anime I've seen and I cried every episode.
