Review of Waiting in the Summer
I usually hate the romantic triangle type anime because you end up screaming "JUST TALK ALREADY, USE WORDS DAMIT" for a majority of the time, yet this series was great. I saw the description for this, and the Film Making aspect of this was the reason I finally got around to watching it. Was pleasantly surprised. After watching I went to make a review because this a really well done animation, and I learned that the people who did this also worked on another previous animation and similar story. I have not read this, nor have I watched the previous work. (like I said, I tendto shy away from this genre)
The story/plot could have gone wrong in so many way's, but the direction and animation executed this amazingly. Shots are placed and cut beautifully, and the animation (while not SS rank) is great, and kicks up during amazing/important parts of the show. The soundtrack is not obtrusive at all.
I loved the story, and the animation and direction made sure I loved it. The summary sounds super played out and old, but the experience of this was great.
