Review of Kokoro Connect
Kokoro Connect has to be up near the top of the list of favorite anime's I've watched so far. I don't normally see this anime on any 'lists' for good animes and wasn't really drawn to it but I'm glad I gave it a chance! SPOILERS AHEAD! Story 9/10: The plot kind of reminded me of Yamada and the Seven witches but it was also different on itself aswell. I loved this plot and it was awesome to watch 5 people deal with this problem and conquer it aswell. I don't feel there was enough backstory added to each person and would of loved to seealot more of this because I love a good backstory! But the story line was well put together even though it became kind of repetitive.. There's a problem, one person is affected by it on a whole different level, arguments, then boom it's all fixed with basically no problems about it in the future! The romance in the series is fairly balanced with the plot.. I'm mostly drawn to romantic type animes and this definitely hit a home run for me. I'm glad they went that way with Inaba and Taichi instead of the other girl. Even though in the first two episodes I was rooting for Iori I was able to see that Inaba liked Taichi from the beginning and it made for a interesting love triangle! Would of loved to see a season 2 but they ended the entire thing on a high note and I respect them for that! They gave the fans the happy ending!
Art 8/10: Art seemed very good for the series and wouldn't expect less! Everything looked good even though some of the walking parts looked abit weird to me I still think it turned out well!
Sound 8/10: I enjoyed every bit of detail added in for music and sounds in the series.. Even though some parts of the series would have 0 music when it was a sad/loving moment it made it kind of weird not hearing anything!
Character 8/10: The main character is fairly decent and I really enjoyed they didn't make it into one of those series where if a character gets embarrassed they don't do a bunch of back flips/arm waving about! Each character was fairly decent and it was good to see a whole bunch of different people come together! Each character had they burdens to bare and it made for an enjoyable watch. Pretty sure I'm not the only one but I would of loved to learn more about heartseed!
Enjoyment 9/10: I really enjoyed the series as a whole, I don't read manga as I find them boring and wouldn't be as attached as a series but I'd love a season 2 to see the aftermath of them in college/the real life and suddenly Heartseed pops up and drops another phenomenon!
Overall: I really enjoyed it and would highly recommended it to anyone whose looking for a good romance/plot story which has a happy ending!
