Review of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
Lets get this out of the way since everyone already know what I'm about to say, Frieren: Beyond Journey's end, is the best anime that I have seen in my entire life. At the age of 20 years old, I started watching anime when I was 9'ish years old, (pretty late hah) my beginning favorite anime's were things like Fairy Tail and Yamada-Kun and the 7 witches. For manga's it was Rosario vampire and also Berserk. I was all over the place. Over time I started to gravitate towards the *ISEKAI* genre, and essentially found my new favorite genre of anime. Gonna make this short, Frieren:Beyond Journey's end is about what happens AFTER the big baddie has been defeated, meaning there is no overarching threat withing the first season of the anime. This is a fantasy show about GOALS and achieving them, while meeting new people and progressing in life past your trauma. Even reaching a point where your comfortable enough to be able to say "goodbye" to the people who helped you in life, under the belief that in some time in the future after the both of you have achieved your goals and dreams; you will reunite stronger and happier under a bright sun and next to a glistening ocean.
I LOVE this anime with all my heart, and I'm NOT afraid to say "goodbye" to it. The best things in life come and go, because that's what makes life so special. Nothing is immortal, nothing lasts forever. Treasure everything in your life. But at the same time, remember that everything in life also has the potential to grow into something that you will have never imagined.
Beautifully felt and seen, one of the most monumental experiences you'll go through is taking a step back and seeing the consequences of your success and achievements, whether you helped people in your life or whether you decided to be the anchor that keeps your community afloat; the overarching premise of this anime perfectly encapsulates that. And it does so with genuine LOVE. If you do decide to watch this anime, you won't cry at the end; you will at the funny parts, but not the end. Instead, like me, you will most likely feel fulfilled and smile.
