Naoki Urusawa is a genius. It is rare that you see an anime with over 70 episodes that does not drag for a single episode. Monster captivates your attention every running moment. It is difficult to fully characterize so many characters and intertwine all of their stories at once, but Monster does... perfectly. When you think things can't possibly get more insane or interesting, they do. When you haven't seen a character for upwards of 15 episodes, don't forget about them. They're still there, and they are still very important. Excellent thriller. The animation was done by studio Madhouse inthe 2000's which makes it beautiful. It is also refreshing to watch an anime that is not set
in the same Japanese city time after time again.
