Review of Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School - Future Arc

As a fan of Danganronpa 1 and 2 was thrilled to see a continuation to the plot which is not neccessary to play before watching this anime, but does provide more insight into the character`s backstories. The story was ok overall for this anime in which it does not hold up to the quality of the previous Danganronopa installments, but does serve to have a interesting premise. The animation is not something I took notice to in terms of it being excellent, but it was done fairly well. The art is similar to that of the first Danganronpa game while it was often amore dark setting overall which I thought was alright.

The characters in this anime have some great classics returning like Kyouko Kirigiri, Aoi Asuhina, and Makoto, however, the new cast members from the future society were a mixed bag overall due to pacing issues. Many characters had their backstories given in an info dump in which the cast was so large not much characters had enough focus overall.

My enjoyment of the story was often from the story that started out very interesting. I will also give credit that I like the returning cast of the show in which it follows Danganronpa lore pretty well. The setting of the outside world was very interesting, and the story had some good impactful moments to it.

Overall, Danganronpa 3 future arc is a anime that has a great setting and premise, but occassionally falls short in terms of having a large cast with little time to establish them. If you are a fan of thriller or a previous Danganronpa fan who wants to see how it ends I would reccomend this anime.
