Review of Gangsta.
Most people are giving this anime a low score, but to be honest I think if you watch this anime wanting to watch "gangsters" then you will be naturally dissapointed. The only downside I can think of it being stopped due to bankruptcy however it is still a good manga. The anime has characters where we learn their backstorys, which in my opinion for such a short anime to get such a detailed and complex characters is a quite good thing. Also, in general Worick and Nicolas are just so likeable you cant miss this anime. It also has a mystery side to it, trying tounveil what exactly are "tags" and twilights ect. It becomes a bigger world as it goes onto each episode, which does make you want to watch more to learn more.
The last few episodes are less flashy in terms of art style I noticed and it is more dull however its still faced paced enough to keep your attention. Also, the last episode makes you want to read the manga immediately! Honestly, it deserves an 8/10. Even the side characters like Dr Theo are badass, not just props in the background.
Also, the way they portray women is respectful and not overly sexualised (despite Alex being a prostitute) we learn a lot of her backstory too and it can be quite dark at times. Also, Nico is deaf which in my opinion doesnt stigmatise it at all and they have sign language ect, its honestly representative. He is obviously powerful and also very kind. Its honestly the first anime Ive seen where the deaf main character isnt seen as weak at all.
Also, for anyone who is attracted to men they are fine as hell and their character makes them even more attractive so id defo recommend in that area
Overall, dont listen to the people who give this a 3. It deserves more credit, sure it isnt a goddamn masterpiece but it is enjoyable enough with unique characters that you gotta watch. Its very refreshing as an anime, and it takes maximum a day and a bit to finish. Give it a try!
