Unpopular opinion here. This anime is "trashy." It's true, compared to other great anime, it is trashy. But to me, and some of us, trashy can be good. If you like fantasy action, where the main hero sucks but yet he is powerful, and get all the girls kind of clique. Then this is for you. Anyways, this is a show that was based on a manga that was very directly inspired by Mirai Nikki, and it's kinda' evident at points, but it does enough of its own thing to be quite interesting. Despite the obvious inspiration, this show goes down a very different pathway and explores somevery different things. The way to know if you might like this series would be to ask yourself, "Do I want to see a death game anime with "regular" people who are thrown in that are given one random power when tossed in and now must survive and kill others with some impressive world-building and characters?" There have been a few animes with this sorta' set-up, but not too many in recent years, and so far, this has been one of the better-executed ones. The characters are interesting, the rules of the game are more explained than usual, and there are exciting scenarios the characters find themselves in. The music, opening, and endings are also outstanding.

Ultimately, if you want a show about people struggling to either survive or hunt each other to kill, with some exciting characters and set-ups to put these characters to battle for survival and explore a power they're each given to fight to the death, or form alliances or back-stab each other or what have you, this is a pretty entertaining watch.
