Note: I'm writing this review after watching parasite for the 2nd time so my opinion has prolly drastically changed seeing how when I first watched it I was just getting into anime and have seen a lot of good and bad anime since then. Also the reviews I do are in my opinion and I try not to spoil anything in the anime, just give my thoughts. And I started going by the scale above the review section so that's why I'm editing this review. So if you had read the old one I appreciate it and hope the revised version helps a bit more. Story:the story was excellent, it's the first anime I've seen with this type of storyline and it seems very original compared to a lot of anime that pretty much follow the same blueprints. It starts off at a fast pace but slows it down right away then the action packed back up half way and doesn't drop again so it does good keeping the viewer interested. It has action, drama, a bit of romance and even a political aspect. It's over 20 episodes so there is a lot of content without being too mashed together, it's easy to follow and has a few good surprises.

Art: the animation was great, it had a little bit of an old school look that had been modernized and I liked it. The scenery and different locations were well done and the buildings in the city and the trees in the forest all looked like some effort was actually put into them instead of just being rushed like a lot of background in anime is done. The action scenes were nice and crisp, didn't look all cut together and wasn't done with CGI.

Sound: the SFX in this anime were really good, in the action scenes they helped the characters actions sound like they had actual weight behind them and the source music also made the more emotional scenes feel heavy. The OP & ED were good also, the OP was like Rock music and fit the aesthetic of the anime.

Characters: the characters had good designs and were well drawn, the "enemy" characters were well drawn also and had some cool designs. The voice acting was really good and helped the characters feel realistic, both the original with English subtitles and the English dubbed versions are worth watching because I think the voice actors each bring something different and put their own little spin on the character.

Enjoyment: I enjoyed this anime a lot, I would say I enjoyed it more the 1st time because I hadn't really noticed all the things certain characters did that kinda confused and angered me lol.

Overall: it's a very good anime that has a different story than most, it has action and drama with small bits of comedy and romance. It's not very long so it can be enjoyed over a weekend or binged in a few hours. The action isn't too unbelievable and the drama keeps the viewer interested, if you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth watching atleast once.
